The visitors took the lead with an unconverted try after seven minutes but Carrick
hit back with their own unconverted try five minutes later, courtesy of winger Johnny
Sheriff. They then took the lead on seventeen minutes when right winger Daryl Crothers
went over. This try was also unconverted. Following a successfully converted Academy
penalty after twenty minutes, Carrick extended their lead with a try by open-

Carrick's next match, on 20 October is away to joint League leaders( and conquerers of Bangor) CIYMS and they will need to perform for eighty minutes if they are to come away with the points.
